General Policies

  • All items listed on our site are in stock and ready to ship (excluding pre-orders, etc.).  
  • Same day shipping on orders placed before 1:00 CST.  See details below.
  • We have a 30 day return policy on regular price items. Please read all details in the Return Policy section below.
  • We accept all major credit cards and PayPal for payment.
  • We are required to charge Texas residents 8.25% sales tax.
  • Our fabrics are sold by the linear yard.  We will notify you if we cannot fulfill your order with a continuous piece of fabric.
  • The width of fabric varies by type and is listed in the product description. Please remember that most fabrics have an unusable edge (selvage) that reduces the useable width of the fabric.
  • Color matching online is difficult at best; we do not currently sell swatches. If color matching is critical for your project, contact us at 1-888-491-3332 or email us at customerservice@youmadesomething.com. We can help!

Domestic Shipping Policy

  • Orders placed before 1:00PM Centeral Time Zone ship the same business day.

    We know you cannot wait to start your project and we are excited for you. Get your orders in before 1:00PM Central Time and we will get your package out the same business day. Orders placed after 1:00PM Central Time, during the weekend, holidays, or otherwise outside of our working hours will ship the following business day. If for some reason we cannot accomplish same day shipping, we will notify you as soon as possible.   

  • Delivery Times

    We do all we can to ensure your packages are delivered in a timely manner. As much as we would like to, we cannot make promises or guarantee how many days it will take for the carrier to deliver your package. What we can do is prep, package, and ship your order efficiently and with attention to detail and give you as many shipping options as possible.

    All orders originate from Frisco, Texas; zip code 75034. Knowing this, you probably already have a good idea which shipping option is best for you and how long it will take for your package to arrive. Of course, we will send you an email with a tracking number as soon as your order is processed.

  • Shipping Cost

    We use live shipping quotes based on the weight and size of the items you order and let you select the best possible shipping solutions to meet your needs during checkout. You can check the shipping options and cost for the contents of your shopping cart at any time by selecting "Estmate Shipping and Tax" in the Cart View page.

International Shipping Policy

  • Our international Shipping Policies are similar to our Domestic Shipping Policies.  The following exceptions apply.
  • International orders do not qualify for free or flat rate shipping.

    We are sorry, but we cannot extend our free or flat rate shipping offers to our customers outside the US; however, we offer several shipping options that should keep the cost as low as possible for you!

  • Countries outside the United States to which we currently ship.

Return Policy

  • 30 Days to Make Returns

    Your enjoyment and success in sewing, crafting, and creating is extremely important to us.  If you find that you need to return a product within 30 days we will do everything we can to satisfy you.  What we can do depends on the reason for the return and the item being returned, as described in the policies below.  Please read through these policies carefully. We are sorry, but we cannot accept any returns after 30 days from the purchase date.

  • Eligible Products

    Any defective product or items that you receive as result of an error that we made are eligible for a full refund or replacement.  Notions, fabrics, and notions that are sold by the yard that you purchased but no longer want are also eligible return if the items meet the condition requirements described below. Returned unwanted notions are eligible for a full refund of the original purchase price applied to your credit card.  Returned unwanted fabrics and "by the yard" notions are only eligible for a store credit since they were cut specifically for your order. Also note that sales are final for marked-down items or items that are purchased on sale.

  • Product Condition

    Unwanted products are returnable if they are unused, unaltered, and in the original undamaged packaging. For an unwanted fabric or "by the yard" notion to be eligible for return, it must not have been modified in any way (i.e. if you order 1.5 yards and use .25 yards, the remaining 1.25 yards is not elegible for return) and it must be clean and have no odor. It must be in the same condition in which you received it.

  • Shipping Costs

    In the case that we make a mistake or ship out a defective item, we will pay shipping cost to return and/or replace the item. If you are returning an unwanted item, you will be responsible for return shipping cost and the original shipping cost.  

  • Logistics

    Call us at 1-888-491-3332 or email us at customerservice@youmadesomething.com so that we can authorize the return. Once the return is authorized, depending on the type of return, we will email you a return shipping label and help you schedule pick-up if necessary. Once we receive the product, please give us a few days to process your request and the return will be issued per the policies above.

Privacy Policy

  • We keep your information confidential.

    YouMadeSomething.com receives personal information about our customers directly through various activities on our website. These include: 1) order placement, 2) account creation and management, 3) surveys, 4) email subscriptions, 5) sweepstakes entries, 6) product and services reviews, and 7) product questions and answers. All of this information must be voluntarily submitted by the user. We keep this information confidential and do not grant access to this information to third parties.

  • Automatic Collection of Data

    In addition to the voluntarily submitted data, we also automatically collect certain information when you use YouMadeSomething.com which we do not consider personal information, such as your IP address, your operating system, browser type, and your activity while visiting the Site. We do this to improve your experience.

    We may log information form referring URLs in order to better understand our customer's interests and optimize our online exposure. We may use analytical services from third parties to review this information in aggregate.

    We also utilize "cookies" to automatically collect certain information. Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive at the request of a website. If we link cookies to any personally identifying information, we treat this information as personal information as confidential. We use cookies to help us understand how visitors use YouMadeSomething.com so that we can improve. Refer to your browser's operating instructions to learn how to reject cookies or remove unwanted cookies.

  • Security

    We use reasonable security measures in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and alteration of information under our control. We cannot, however, guarantee protection of all information against interception, misappropriation, misuse, or alteration, or that your information may not be disclosed or accessed by accidental circumstances or by the unauthorized acts of others.
